Prof. Hanna ReichelAssociate Professor of Reformed Theology

    RESEARCH PROFILE

    Hanna Reichel received her PhD degree from Heidelberg University. Her thesis was awarded the Lautenschlaeger Award for Theological Promise and the Ernst-Wolf Award. Reichel is Executive Director of the Center for Karl Barth Studies at PTS, co-editor of Routledge’s Karl Barth Studies series, part of the Vorbereitungskreis of the annual Karl-Barth-Konferenz at the Leuenberg, and founding co-editor of the OAJ Cursor_ Zeitschrift fuer explorative Theologie. Reichel’s research interests include political theology, Christology, scriptural hermeneutics, poststructuralist theory, surveillance studies, and epistemological ethics. Reichel is currently working on a book on “Political Theologies of Omniscience – between the doctrine of God and mass surveillance”.

    TEACHING PROFILE

    Reichel’s teaching ranges from 20thcentury German theologians to postcolonial, feminist, and queer theologies.
