Research Profile

Over the last decade I have pursued the theological and ethical implications of genomics, stem cells, the evolution controversy, cosmology, astrobiology, and transhumanism. For the near future I plan to extend my work in astro-theology and astro-ethics along with related areas. I have maintained a sustained interest in theodicy and eschatology, and I expect this to continue.

Teaching Profile

In Berkeley I will continue to teach basic systematic theology to seminarians as well as electives in Christology and eschatology. I teach doctoral seminars dealing with the ecological crisis and also the influence of the neurosciences on Christian anthropology.
